They showed up on time and spent two hours grinding before a drop of epoxy went down. The finished floor looks incredible. My garage has never looked this good.

What It Is
Metallic epoxy is a two-part epoxy resin system infused with metallic pigment powders. When applied, the pigments are manipulated by hand using tools, air movement, and technique — creating flowing, three-dimensional effects that look like molten metal, polished marble, or deep ocean water depending on the color combination chosen.
The finished surface is sealed with a high-gloss polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat — creating a surface that’s not only visually striking but also seamless, chemical-resistant, and built to handle daily use. Unlike decorative tile or vinyl, there are no grout lines, no seams, and no two sections that look identical.
The process is part chemistry, part craftsmanship. Every Prime Coat metallic floor is mixed and applied on-site by our crew — the design emerges during installation and cannot be exactly replicated. That’s the point.

The visual impact is obvious. Here’s what’s working underneath the surface.
No catalog, no template. The pigments move during application and create a design that belongs only to your space. Visitors notice immediately.
The topcoat creates a seamless, impermeable surface. Spills wipe up cleanly, stains don’t penetrate, and the concrete underneath is permanently protected.
No grout lines. No joints. No texture that traps dust. Sweep or mop — the floor cleans in minutes and looks the same as installation day.
A metallic floor transforms a basement, showroom, or studio from unfinished to polished. It’s the detail that makes a space feel considered.
How It’s Done
Metallic epoxy requires more prep and more skill than standard systems. Here’s exactly what happens from consultation to finished floor.
We discuss the space, the look you’re after, and walk through color combinations. We bring samples so you can see real finishes in your environment before committing.
Diamond grinding, crack repairs, moisture testing. Metallic systems are unforgiving of poor prep — this step is non-negotiable and gets the most time.
Base coat primer, then the metallic layer — mixed on-site and applied by hand. Our crew manipulates the pigments to create the flowing, three-dimensional effect.
Two coats of high-gloss polyaspartic topcoat seal the design permanently. Foot traffic in 24 hours. Final walkthrough before we leave.
Most metallic epoxy installs complete in 2–3 days depending on square footage.
See What It’ll CostWhy Us
Any contractor can roll out a solid color. Metallic epoxy is different — the technique determines the outcome, and there’s no undoing it once the material sets. We’ve done hundreds of decorative installs. We know what works and what doesn’t, and we’re honest about it before we start.
“The floor in our showroom stops people in their tracks. Every single client comments on it. Worth every penny.”

Prime Coat was the only company that checked the moisture in my slab before quoting. That alone told me everything about how they work. Floor came out flawless.
